You guessed, the other way of drinking coffee in a modern city and modern times, is with the help of smart phone app.
And another other way is also where did this app come from: Its origin is Israel where a small team of coffee addicts created an app called CUPS, an alternative to loyalty cards from industry heawyweight like Starbucks. An app allows subscribers to drink unlimited coffee in exchange for $45. Right now some 50 independent coffee shops joined the program around the New York City.
This app was first implemented in cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv where some 100 independent coffee shops, mostly with upscale coffee joined the program. Given the success of this idea CUPS very quick ventured into New York. The reason for setting shop in US is nice daily coffee consumption of 1.7 cups of coffee. But there are also smalller prepaid package deals for 5, 10, or 20 drinks per month for not so hard core coffee lovers.
